About Us
At San Luis Sports Therapy our mission is simple, to provide the best care to the best communities. We are an award winning group of private practice physical therapy clinics with eight accessible locations on the Central Coast. We boast doctoral educated and specialty certified practitioners in the areas of orthopedics, sport, geriatric, vestibular, and hand therapy. We are preferred providers for most insurance plans and even offer very reasonable self-pay rates.
With the help of our staff and patients, we continue to strive towards our common goal of bettering our community. We are actively involved in our communities through sponsorships and participation in a variety of events and activities. We are partners with the SLO Noor Foundation and offer free physical therapy to Noor clinic patients. We support the fight against cancer with Relay for Life and the fight against breast cancer with Pink October. We host March Madness pool tournaments to raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. We collect toys for Toys for Tots and food for SLO Food Bank and the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County during the holiday season. We sponsor local youth sports teams; talented individuals in their competitive endeavors; and the SLO Marathon. We are also lucky enough to show our support for CASA, Jack’s Helping Hand, and the Family Care Network.

SLO Noor Clinic
San Luis Sports Therapy is grateful for the opportunity to work with the Noor Foundation to provide free physical therapy services to uninsured people living in our community. The SLO Noor Foundation, founded and led by Dr. Ahmad Nooristani, has been providing high quality free healthcare to uninsured people in our community since December of 2009. The Noor Clinic, on Phillips Lane in San Luis Obispo, provides various medical services to SLO County residents regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, immigration or socioeconomic status.
We have opened our doors to qualified Noor Clinic patients during regular business hours Monday thru Friday at all of our locations. Overflow patients are still seen at the Phillips Lane clinic. Partnering with the Noor Clinic has really allowed for a greater synergy between our two companies that greatly prioritize accessible healthcare.

San Luis Sports Therapy is helping to eliminate back injuries and poor posture in our youth. San Luis Sports Therapy and Movement for Life were awarded the 2012 Jane L. Snyder National Private Practice of the Year Award. The Jane L. Snyder National Private Practice of the Year award is granted annually by the Private Practice Section (PPS) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). This award is given to recognize colleagues who have made outstanding and innovative contributions to the physical therapy profession and in support of private practice physical therapy.
This honor is the result of the cumulative efforts of Movement for Life. We are enormously proud of the people that come together every day to support, promote, and provide physical therapy services to the communities that we have the opportunity to serve. “With all these remarkable people we’ve embodied four key points in our vision – to recruit, retain, and reward the best people; to provide cutting edge service; to expand and grow our people, our company, our services, and our facilities; and to do it all through efficient and effective communication and teamwork,” said Jim Glinn, Jr., founder of Team Movement for Life, as he accepted the award.
“The bar for community service was set very high by Dr. Jane Snyder; and the Movement for Life clinics are active members of their communities. They partner with local high schools to provide athletic training services to their students. They’re involved in community outreach programs and support many charitable organizations through community fundraising events,” said the award presenter.
At San Luis Sports Therapy, Movement for Life is everything we do. Improving and enhancing the lives of our team and the communities we serve. We believe that we can change more lives together than we can alone. We love what we do. We love helping people. We love providing Movement for Life.
