Answering the call for adequate medical care for high school athletes, San Luis Sports Therapy and Orthopedic Rehabilitation is proud to work with our local schools. Our certified athletic trainers provide prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, in cooperation with team physicians at:

- Morro Bay High School
- Nipomo High School
- Galt High School
We also assist with Cal Poly Club Sports teams, and other athletic events within the community.

Stacey Jensen Ritter, MS, ATC is Director of Sports Medicine & Athletic Training Services, overseeing the high school outreach program. After completing her undergraduate degree and national certification, Stacey was a graduate assistant athletic trainer and kinesiology instructor at CSU Fullerton. She then served as Associate Director of Athletic Training, and Department of Sports Sciences instructor at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. While there, Stacey was privileged to work with the women’s volleyball program during its 1999 run as number-one ranked team in the nation, and appearance in the NCAA Final Four. She has worked with Olympians, professional athletes and NCAA champions, and has been on several international playing tours with athletic teams. In 2002, Stacey moved to the high school setting, and found a true mission in bringing the highest standard of athletic health care to young competitors. With a strong background in sports nutrition, substance abuse education, and psychology of injury, she recognizes the unique experience of the adolescent athlete, and constantly strives to improve their experience.
During the off-season, Stacey loves to draw, paint and cook. Her husband, Chris, is also an athletic trainer, and they enjoy traveling and being outdoors- surfing, swimming, hiking and camping.

Todd Olivera, MA, ATC, graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training education. He received his Master of Arts degree in Education at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and worked for Washoe County School District 1998-2002 as an athletic trainer. Todd has spent internships with both professional football and soccer teams as well as serves as an athletic trainer for the National Cheerleading Association, providing athletic training services at summer camps throughout the United States.
Todd's background stems from working in emergency medicine with the United States Coast Guard as well as private ambulance companies
He began working for San Luis Sports Therapy in Paso Robles in August of 2002 and really loves working in the physical therapy field in combination with his athletic training skills. In his spare time he volunteers with both the Special Olympics and Senior Olympics. He enjoys all forms of outdoor activities and athletics. His personal mottos to live by are "Healthy habits builds healthy lifestyles." "Play hard , losing sucks!" and " Die trying."

Ian is a new addition to the San Luis Sports Therapy Athletic Training team. His primary responsibility is to serve as the Athletic Trainer for Nipomo High School and he also acts as an aide under Physical Therapists at our San Luis Obispo Clinic.
As an undergraduate student in Virginia he worked with a wide variety of sports including high school football and wrestling. He worked with the Roanoke College Men’s Lacrosse team which has been consistently ranked among the top 5 division III teams for the past several decades. While in Virginia Ian was also fortunate enough to work under other Athletic Trainers, assisting with the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball tournament as well as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men’s Football and Women’s Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball Championships. Ian enjoys most activities and can’t wait to find fun in the central coast area.

Jamie Adams, ATC, is returning to the central coast after completing her education at the University of the Pacific and Northern Arizona University. As a local, she is excited to return to Templeton High School as their new certified athletic trainer. Jamie has experience working with multiple sports, including water polo, volleyball and football. Jamie began working for San Luis Sports Therapy in August 2006.

Lisa Friesen is a recent graduate of the University of the Pacific's accredited athletic training program. Lisa's dream of being a high school Athletic Trainer began in her sophomore year of High School. College confirmed that passion as she was able to work with Division I Men's and Women's Swimming, Baseball, and Women's Volleyball. After graduation Lisa was given the opportunity to act as the Interim Baseball Athletic Trainer at the University of the Pacific.
Lisa is excited about working at Mission College Prep and about learning about San Luis Obispo. She enjoys the out doors and is excited to explore the beauty of the Central Coast.

Katie started her athletic training education at Ohio Northern University in 2000 working with various sports throughout the four years. She was an athletic training student for Division III Wrestling Championships, as well as the Division III Indoor Track and Field championships. In 2004, Katie went to University of South Carolina to pursue her master's degree. She worked as a Physician Extender in the USC Sports Medicine Center during the first year and during the second year, was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for Women's Soccer and Softball.

Jamie DeRollo, ATC, graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training. While at Fresno she had the opportunity to work with Division I Football, Women’s Volleyball, Men & Women’s Cross Country & Track teams, as well as Men’s Tennis. She also had the chance to travel with the Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Tennis teams. Before Fresno she played soccer at Modesto Junior College where she got into the athletic training field and graduated from there with both an Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees.
She began working for San Luis Sports Therapy in Paso Robles in June of 2003 after graduating from Fresno State. She started the Athletic Training Positions at both St. Joseph and Templeton High School’s on the Central Coast, which she loved. Then she and her family re-located back to the Modesto area in 2006 after having her son in November of 2005. She believes that she has the best of both worlds working as the front office manager in the Stockton clinic and using her athletic training skills at Galt High School.
Jamie is also one of the Co-coordinators of the Health Careers Academy at Galt High School in which there are 8 teachers and over 100 students that make up the Academy. She continues to teach CPR and first aid through the American Red Cross and took an EMT class during her maternity leave so she is now also a certified EMT.
She has worked with California USA Wrestling for the last 8 years and looks forward to the state tournament every year in San Jose where there are 24 mats going at the same time. She has also worked various Volleyball Festivals, San Luis Obispo Panthers (a semi-professional football team) and NBC camps for volleyball and basketball.
In her spare time she volunteers with Tennis Aces and has just recently gone back to school to get her Master’s Degree in Health Administration at South University. She enjoys being a Mom to her one year old son Francis and having Sunday dinners with her growing family.

Haley Daniel grew up in Kansas City, Missouri where she received her Bachelors in Athletic Training from Park University. While attending Park, Haley competed in her lifelong sport of soccer for the university. After living in Kansas City her whole life, Haley tried her hand on the west coast while pursuing her Masters in Clinical Exercise Science at the University of the Pacific. Haley is now in her first year as the Athletic Trainer for San Luis Obispo High School, while teaching their Introduction to Sports Medicine class.
Haley is extremely excited to be a part of the central coast community. She loves the outdoors, sunshine and her precious cat. Convinced she was a full-bred Californian in a previous life, Haley is determined to discover everything the west coast has to offer.
