Julie ButlerClinic Director - PT, DPT, OCS

Julie completed her undergraduate work at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and received both her Masters and Doctorate degrees from Western University of Health Sciences. After spending many years in high school and college running track and then coaching at both levels, Julie enjoys working with athletes to get back to their optimal level.

She has been board certified as a Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy since 2004, an accolade that only the top ~3.5% of Physical Therapists in the country have earned.

While not in the clinic, Julie enjoys biking, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors with her family.

Vicki HeitFront Office Manager

Vicki is a California native, born in Santa Monica, relocating to the Central Coast 15 years ago. Being a competitive soccer player for most of her life, her injuries first brought her to SLST as a patient. When the opportunity arose to join our "Winning Team" as Front Office Manager, she jumped on it!

Vicki brings with her over a decade of both legal and medical front office experience. When not at work she enjoys playing with her grandkids or going to concerts and dancing the night away.

Brad MorrisonPT, DPT

Brad is a Cal Poly graduate who earned his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and furthered his passion for physical therapy attending Azusa Pacific University in southern California to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014.

Brad is a native of Ontario, Canada but has spent the last 15 years in northern California. Brad enjoyed the central coast so much during his years at Cal Poly, he returned to the central coast with his wife to begin his career at San Luis Sports Therapy. Other than physical therapy, Brad is an avid cyclist, trail runner and golfer.

Brad is passionate about treating the in an orthopedic setting especially in vestibular rehabilitation treating dizziness and vertigo related conditions.

Roxanne OuweleenPT, DPT

Roxanne is originally from Fullerton, California. Growing up, she was active in sports, particularly soccer. She began her soccer ‘career’ in kindergarten and continued playing through high school. It was her own knee injury and subsequent rehabilitation through physical therapy that led to her desire to help others do the same.

Roxanne received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a minor in psychology. While attending school, she worked as a physical therapy aide for the San Luis Sports Therapy clinic in Morro Bay.

Roxanne then went on to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from University of St. Augustine in San Marcos. Roxanne received the Stanley V. Paris and Catherine Patla Award for Excellence in Manual Therapy and the Wanda Nitsch Scholastic Achievement Award for highest academic achievement and embodiment of the program’s mission with attributes including professionalism, clinical reasoning, ethical standards and commitment to professional growth.

Outside of the clinic, Roxanne enjoys running, hiking, animals and traveling.

Melissa TenkatePT, DPT

Melissa was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After high school she moved to Hillsdale, Michigan for her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and was a long distance runner in cross-country and track and field. Her love of the outdoors and warmer weather drove her to Orange County where she began her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy, which she was awarded in May of 2015. Melissa has a primary interest in corrective exercise, educating her patients on proper movement patterns and body mechanics at work and in athletics, and sports rehabilitation. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys running, hiking with her 2 dogs, paddle boarding, and snowboarding at Mammoth Mountain.

Steven FloresPTA

Steven grew up in Visalia, CA where he enjoyed doing anything and everything outside. He played baseball for 8 years growing up and played football and wrestled in high school. Steven attended Fresno State for his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and is where he learned to love the phrase GO DOGS! He recently moved to the Central Coast where he still enjoys playing basketball and golf in his free time.

Matt QuijanoMS, ATC - Arroyo Grande High School

Matt grew up on the Central Coast, in Santa Barbara. While earning his Bachelors of Science Degree in Athletic Training at Chapman University, he held athletic training internships with various junior colleges, high schools, and the Anaheim Ducks.

After graduation, Matt attended California State University Chico and earned his Masters of Arts Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Training Education and worked with a variety of the CSUC’s athletic teams.

Matt then returned to Chapman University to teach in their Athletic Training program and worked with several of Chapman’s athletic teams. Matt recently moved back to the Central Coast to teach and work as the head Athletic Trainer at Arroyo Grande High School. Outside of his professional life, Matt enjoys bike riding, playing with his dog, spending time with family and friends, and adventures of all kinds.
