LaVaughan Breakfield grew up in the San Joaquin Valley. She developed an interest in the care and prevention of athletic injuries while participating in different sports. While completing her undergraduate degree, her experiences as an aide ranged from outpatient orthopedics in a Stockton clinic to pediatrics at Valley Children’s Hospital in Fresno.
LaVaughan graduated from The University of the Pacific’s Physical Therapy Program in May of 1998. Since then, she worked in a variety of physical therapy settings before emphasizing orthopedic manual therapy.
She finds that developing a personalized treatment plan for the best patient outcome is the most rewarding aspect of being a therapist. LaVaughan’s free time is spent with her family, keeping her hands full and always on the go with two young children.
