Wellness is a state of total well being, not merely the absence of infirmity, symptoms or disease. If a person is in a state of wellness, one feels energized and feels good to be alive! If you feel less than perfectly healthy, you have the power to improve your wellness. Old concepts of health and medicine are changing rapidly. The focus is off illness and on wellness. Unfortunately, most people wait until they experience symptoms of disease before they do anything about it. The major fatal illnesses of today such as cardiovascular disease and cancer can take up to 10-15 years to develop before any symptoms are revealed. The ideal time to promote a persons state of wellness is not only after an injury or after illness has presented itself but prior to an occurrence when a person is in a state of good health. We encourage our clients to listen to their bodies and the life force within.
At San Luis Sports Therapy & Orthopedic Rehabilitation, we offer a multitude of health and wellness programs that are inclusive of personalized diet and exercise programs. Many of our programs are incorporated following treatment of illness or injury, yet most can be taken advantage of prior to any medical condition presents itself. It is our goal at San Luis Sports Therapy to build up the immune system and strengthen the body in order to prevent the onset of illness or injury. We work in coordination with our client's physician and insure a timely and thorough evaluation by developing individualized programs that best suit your needs. All of our locations have licensed physical therapists and certified trainers on site to assist our clients and answer any questions you may have regarding wellness.
