Colleen completed her undergraduate work at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in Kinesiology & received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California.  She is board certified as a Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and has certifications in Personalized Blood Flow restriction (BFR)  and sports specific rehabilitation.

Her post graduate work has focused on orthopedic and sports specific rehabilitation with an emphasis on performance enhancement. Colleen also has extensive training in manual therapy. This background, and her passion for working with athletes, led her towards directing rehabilitation for Olympians, amateur, professional and collegiate athletes.  She has also been a volunteer physical therapist with professional rodeo’s Justin Sports Medicine Team and professional volleyball’s AVP and FIVP tours.

Colleen is a sixth-generation San Luis Obispo County native and an outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys working with and giving back to a community that has given so much to her, hiking with her family, and taking on new challenges as she ages which have included running with the bulls in Pamplona, a tough mudder and first marathon, learning to snowboard, and having two kids at almost 40.

Jonathan GrisantiPT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

jonathan.grisanti@movementforlife.com

Jonathan received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northern Arizona University in 2017 and then completed an Orthopedic Residency in 2018 to become a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Sports and performance has been an area of focus with a particular emphasis on ACL injuries. He is passionate about helping his patients reach their goals. To stay up to date on the most recent techniques and research, Jonathan has become certified in Blood Flow Restriction and regularly attends courses to learn the updated research. Jonathan has been working with local sports teams and does regular community lectures to better educate individuals on healthy sports participation.

During undergraduate studies at The Master’s University, Jonathan studied Kinesiology and Physical Education with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014.

Jonathan first became passionate about physical therapy after injuring his knee in high school basketball. He is dedicated to helping people live life without the burden of pain and physical limitations by using evidence-based practice and compassionate care.

In his free time, Jonathan loves camping, backpacking, playing sports, trying new things, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.

Nick WatsonPT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

Nick was born and raised in the Central Valley in Clovis, California. He played collegiate soccer for Fresno Pacific University where he graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He then continued his education with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in 2018 after which he completed an Orthopedic Residency with Kaiser Permanente Ontario in February 2020. His primary professional interest is in orthopedics and he is board certified as a Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and has his certifications in Personalized Blood Flow restriction (BFR) as well as being a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). In his personal life, enjoys spending time with his wife, friends, and family as well as playing sports, hiking, and traveling.

Matt MillerPT, DPT, CSCS

Matt grew up in Santa Cruz County, living in Scotts Valley, CA for most of his life. He attended Weber State University in Ogden, UT where he majored in Human Performance Management and was a wide receiver on the football team. Matt received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Western University of Health Sciences in 2018. After graduating from physical therapy school, Matt completed an intensive 9-month program at Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center, where he studied proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF). Matt recently graduated from an accredited sports physical therapy residency at the University of Florida Health. Here he participated in the rehabilitation management of student-athletes from a variety of different intercollegiate sports teams. Matt plans to sit for his board certification in sports physical therapy in the spring of 2021.

Tyler AlmeidaPTA

Tyler was born and raised on the Central Coast of California. He attended California Polytechnic University and earned his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a focus on exercise science and health promotion. Later, he would go on to earn his Associate's degree in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico. Tyler's hobbies include hiking, backpacking, camping, and playing soccer.
